Why pottery?
Pottery is one of the oldest crafts in the world -- every culture developed some form of ceramics, whether it's giant vases to hold vast quantities of food, mugs and bowls for the individual or just something pretty to decorate the home. It's something in our collective DNA and brings us together as humans.
I still remember the first piece of handmade pottery I've ever bought. Food just tasted better. To hold a bowl or mug in your hand and know it was made by a person, not a machine. To feel that connection with your ancestors. All of those feelings in something so prosaic is just magical.
My goal is to bring that same joy to others, to add a bit of brightness to the world.
